Moving forward: Chris has found new love with model Jasmine Sanders
R&B singer Chris Brown has graduated from the year long domestic violence course he took as part of his sentence for assaulting his former girlfriend Rihanna. The 21-year-old proudly tweeted a picture of the certificate he received for successfully completing the court-mandated programme Chris was sentenced to the 52 week class, 180 days of community labour and five years’ formal probation after he admitted assaulting the Barbadian singer in a car after a pre-Grammy party in February 2009. He was also issued a stay-away order from the Only Girl songstress. Having completed the class and community labour he will now just need to serve the rest of his probation which will be up in 2014. He sent a follow up tweet today saying: ‘I have enough self respect and decency to be proud of accomplishing this DV class.. Boyz run from there mistakes.. Men learn from them!!!thx’. Last month the judge overseeing his case said: ‘Of all probationers I’ve ever had, and I’ve had thousands of probationers, no one has ever done a better or more consistent job than you have.’ He is due back in court on January 28 for his next status hearing. Chris is currently working on his latest album F.A.M.E which is set to be released next year. His career is continuing to build momentum but still has a way to go to be close to where he was before the ugly incident. He had faced constant public criticism and a loss in record sales after a back-lash from many of his fans. His third album, Graffiti, was released in December 2009 and was his lowest selling CD to date. Meanwhile Rihanna’s career has moved on considerably since the experience and she has found new love with LA Dodgers player Matt Kemp. The With You singer has also found a new love interest and is dating model Jasmine Sanders. He showed off his softer side last week when he visited a Miami beach with his girlfriend and new bulldog puppy Diana. Source Mail |
