After Leicester City Win, Dreams To Start Coming True Everywhere

0
Leicester Wins Premier League

Following Leicester`s (no, not lechesta, its les-tar) unimaginable football triumph, other dreamers have also got “gas” to believe that their dreams will become true. We traversed the streets of Kampala to find these dreamers and which dreams they believe are about to come true. We got two dreamers who were willing to share with us there fantasies, sorry,  I mean dreams.

A-Pass

The crooner anticipates that he will be walking done the aisle with Flavia Tumusiime anytime soon. Following his relentless but so far unfruitful pursuit of the radio and t.v goddess that is Flavia, Bagonza now believes that this dream about  to turn to reality.  We caught up with him as he was haggling over prices for mass mobile messages inviting all well-wishers for wedding meetings.

ULK: Bagonza, eh, you are already planning for wedding meetings?

A-Pass: Yes, the moment Leicester won the premier league I knew I had to get a move on. You know I had been praying for a sign to show that I am not chasing a unicorn, (although she is rare like that, right?) Anyway what better sign could be there than a Leicester city win?

ULK: But has she said yes?

A-pass: She will, I have faith just like the guys who bet on Leicester City winning the title.

ULK: You could have faith that you will win a Grammy award, doesn’t mean it will happen?

A-pass: I will not invite you to the wedding if you say such negative things.

ULK: You mean the imaginary wedding?

A-Pass: Yes, even that one.

ULK: Dude, I sure hope not. I don’t want to be in any of your dreams!!!

A-Pass: My dreams are focused on Flavia. You know there was this one dream where she was in a t-shirt and it was raining so you could see the outlines of her…

ULK:  hey hey hey, cool it. My boss doesn’t allow me to write what I think you are about to say. looks like your dreams are already coming true anyway even if it is just in your head. I am just wasting my time here.

Arsenal fans

If there is a group of individuals who have attained the patience of the biblical Job, it is Arsenal fans. The last time Arsenal won the premier league, Obama had not been elected U.S president, the I phone hadn’t been invented and President Museveni had said he was ruling for his last term. Instead of weeping at the sight of Leicester city winning the trophy, some Arsenal fans indeed, now believe the premier league will be theirs soon.

ULK: There are dreams and then, there are delusions. As an Arsenal fan, aren’t you suffering from delusions masquerading as dreams?

Arsenal fan: Everyone thought that Leicester city was deluded when they appointed Claudio Ranieri as coach but look at what he has achieved. Or look at the Boston Red Sox, it took them 86 years between trophies but it still came.

ULK: In 86 years, you will be so dead that there will be a shopping mall over your grave.

Arsenal fan: I may be dead physically but I have children who will continue the cause of supporting Arsenal and their joy will be my joy wherever or whatever I shall be.

ULK: How sure are you that your children will support Arsenal?

Arsenal fan: If I give birth to kids who do not support Arsenal, either my wife cheated on me or my wife  cheated on me.

ULK: That is some illogical reasoning. You kids may just not want to be losers

Arsenal fan: I am an Arsenal fan, not thinking clearly is part of the deal.

HelloFood Shares Tips On Weight Loss

0

Gone are the days when for many Africans, being voluminous in shape and weight was “a sign of good living.” In the 21st Century, what was cherished as “a sign of good living” has been thrown out with the emergence of globalization.

Weight loss has become priority for most people, especially the youth, and food has become the victim of this growing trend. Not taking meals at all is perceived to be the easiest and fastest way to lose weight for many who find themselves in this circle.

The results gathered by many researchers on the impact of food on weight loss have only left evidence that choosing to skip meals with the hope of saving calories, actually end up in gaining more weight. The bottom line is, denying yourself food is not a healthy answer to weight loss. A reasonable weight loss plan that includes making healthier eating choices, exercising, and eating throughout the day should rather be your focus when working to shed off some calories.

Metabolism, the process by which the body converts what you eat and drink into energy, plays an integral part in the process of weight loss, and food is essential for proper metabolism. How quickly a person loses weight and burns fat depends on the rate of metabolism in the human body. Eating at regular intervals is important to keep the metabolic rate up.

A proper and fast metabolism means more calories burned. Each time you eat, enzymes in your body’s cells break down the food and turn it into energy that keeps your heart beating, your mind thinking, and your body gets more active. The more you burn, the easier it is to drop pounds. Not eating only makes you hungrier and you ate tempted to take in large quantity of food. This only hinders faster metabolism.

The health risks associated with skipping meals are not worth it, even if it does bring a temporary weight loss. Instead of skipping meals, take smaller quantities of quality food at regular interval. Hellofood has a nice way of describing the best eating habit that will aid your weight loss plan “Eat to Live but do not Live to Eat.”

Just turn to HelloFood and we will deliver your meals on time from a variety of our partner restaurants that serve healthy meals and juices. We care about you practicing the best eating habits for a good, healthy and fruitful weight loss plan.

Sheraton Reaches Out To Customers In A Sales Blitz Themed “Unstoppable”

0

Sheraton Kampala Hotel last week engaged in an exercise aimed at reaching out to its customers all over the country and across the region. This was part of Starwood’s Global Blitz exercise with a theme “Unstoppable” and had over 1000 hotels under the Starwood brand participating in similar activities.

Last year Sheraton had a ‘Downtown Sales Blitz’ and it was used a dipstick to understand the public’s perception of the Hotel, its products and services.Based on the findings the Sheraton sales team and the staff that participated had the opportunity to discover some of the possible areas for improvement and also used some positive feedback which the team has used to enhance their performance and service delivery. This was also an opportunity for the team to reach out to a market segment that was previously untapped.

“Following our sales blitz dipstick that we had last year downtown Kampala,we got a lot of feedback that we have used to improve our services and customer care. This year we conducted another sales blitz with the theme “Unstoppable” because we are the only International Brand hotel in Uganda and boast a rich heritage. During these sales blitz’ we get to meet our customers’ 1 on 1 and try to understand them and their specific needs as we also in form them of our various products, services and offers.

This year we used a different unique approach where we called many of our customer from our data base all in Uganda, South Africa, Rwanda, South Sudan just to mention a few. Participants included senior managers from various departments as well as members of the Sales teams. Each member was assigned a session in the “WarRoom” to interact with customers. This was done to help us understand our customers more and use the insight to improve our interaction with customers all the time.” Explained the Sheraton Marketing director Ms. Jennifer Musiime.

The hospitality industry in Uganda is extremely competitive and the management of Sheraton Kampala acknowledges this fact, so it strives hard to stay on top by trying out new things like improving their menus, improving their services and hiring international chefs, creating new dining concept and partnering with various events to fully utilize the hotel’s sprawling garden space. The sales blitz helps also helps Sheraton discover new things the customers’ desire to find at Sheraton and this has so far helped improve Sheraton.

“We are privileged to have a good market share in Uganda and we are not resting until we have achieved a consistent market share leader status. This year we have a lot in stock for our customers like recently we set up an amazing Women’s day dinner with a theme of “Phenomenal Woman…” after a hugely successful Valentine’s day celebration at the Paradise and Seven Seas Restaurants and this is just a sneak peak of what we have lined up this year. Sheraton has definitely stood the test of time and understands the needs and demographics of the hospitality industry. We often translate this experience into our impeccable services and customer care.” Concluded Jennifer.
